Abstract:
This talk will introduce the physics related to black holes, including the development of gravitational theory, the formation of black holes, the current research status of black hole physics, and its connection with particle physics.

Speaker Profile:
Bin Chen, Professor at the Institute of Fundamental Physics and Quantum Science and Technology, Ningbo University, graduated from the Department of Modern Physics, University of Science and Technology of China in 1992, and obtained his Ph.D. in Science from the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997. After that, he conducted postdoctoral research in Japan, Italy and other countries and returned to China in 2003. He joined the Instituteof Theoretical Physics, School of Physics, Peking University in 2005, and was a Boya Distinguished Professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Physics, Peking University. Hejoined Ningbo University in 2024. He has presided over several NSFC projects including the onefor Distinguished Young Scholars, one Key Program and four General Programs. His researchfields include string theory, quantum field theory, black hole physics and cosmology. He haspublished more than 200 scientific research papers.
