Bio
Daicui Zhou: A second-level professor at the School of Physics, Central China Normal University, specializing in high-energy heavy-ion collision experiments. He has been a member of several international experimental collaborations, including the Chinese High-Energy Nuclear Emulsion Experiment Collaboration, CERN-SPS-EMU01, DUBNA-JINR-EMU12, BNL-AGS-E815/863, CERN-LHC-ALICE, and GSI-FAIR-CBM. Initially, he conducted high-altitude cosmic ray heavy nucleus interaction experiments and, since 1985, has been focusing on fixed-target experiments and high energy heavy-ion collision experiments at accelerators. His research interests include particle production, nuclear fragmentation, correlations and fluctuations, photon and neutral particle production, heavy flavor and quarkonium production, jet energy loss, anisotropic flow and partonic collectivity. The physical goal is to explore quark-gluon plasma (QGP) signals and their properties. He has led and co-developed multiple particle track measuring instruments and detector devices for international collaborative experiments. He has independently and jointly published over 400 SCI-indexed papers. He has hosted and participated in various projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, including general foundation projects, key foundation projects, major and key international cooperation projects, and National Key R&D Programs funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education. Currently, he leads one key international cooperation project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and participates in two national key R&D programs.
