From June 15 to 19, 2026, the "C3NT Workshop: Quantum Information Science in High Energy Nuclear Physics" was successfully held in the Central China Center for Nuclear Theory (C3NT) on the CCNU campus. The workshop gathered cross-disciplinary specialists in quantum information science to discuss novel applications of state-of-the-art approaches including tensor networks and quantum simulation in high-energy and nuclear physics. Approximately 60 experts and scholars from domestic and international universities and research institutions attended the event, fostering a vibrant academic atmosphere with lively discussions.

Prof. Xin-Nian Wang delivering the opening address
On the morning of June 15, Prof. Xin-Nian Wang, Director of both the Institute of Particle Physics and the Central China Center for Nuclear Theory, delivered the opening address and extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Throughout the workshop, more than 30 invited talks were presented, covering a wide range of frontier topics, including the application of quantum algorithms to high-energy collider event generators, quantum simulation of lattice gauge field theories, parton entanglement in strongly coupled quantum field theories, tensor network algorithms for quantum simulation in high-dimensional high-energy physics, real-time evolution on digital quantum computers, and Hamiltonian lattice gauge field theory simulations based on neural network wavefunctions.
