Title: Wigner function, polarization of fermion, and mass effect on chiral anomaly

Abstract: Wigner function is the quantum mechanical analogue of single-particle distribution function in classical mechanics. From Wigner function, we try to obtain the first order solution to axial current for massive fermions based on other's works. Regarding the axial current as the polarization density of fermion, we can give the mean polarization per fermion in phase space. We will show that the fermion mass may have an important effect on chiral anomaly.
