Quantum Simulation of Lattice Gauge Theories

Organizers：Zhensheng Yuan, University of Science and Technology of China

Date：November 3, 2026,Tuesday,10:30 am

Place：Room 9409

Speaker: Zhensheng Yuan, University of Science and Technology of ChinaTime: November 3, 2026,Tuesday,10:30 amLocation: Room 9409Abstract:With advances in laser cooling technology and the experimental realization of quantum phase transitions in Bose Einstein condensates and optical lattices, ultracold atom physics has become a bridge connecting the microscopic physical mechanisms with emergent macroscopic ...
Experimental Search for the Chiral Magnetic Effect in Heavy-Ion Collisions

Organizers：Jinhui Chen, Fudan University

Date：

Place：

Speaker：Jinhui Chen, Fudan UniversityTime: October 27, 2026,Tuesday,10:30 amLocation: Room 9409 Abstract:Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) permits topologically nontrivial gluon field configurations. In non-central relativistic heavy-ion collisions, where an extremely strong magnetic field is produced, these configurations can drive an electric-charge separation along the field direction. This is the ...
Dark Energy and PrimordialGravitational-Wave Detection

Organizers：Prof. Xinmin Zhang

Date：October 13, 2026, Tuesday, 10:30 AM

Place：Lecture Hall 9409

Speaker: Xinmin Zhang, Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of SciencesTime: October 13, 2026, Tuesday, 10:30 AMLocation: Lecture Hall 9409Abstract: Dark energy and primordial gravitational-waves are two major frontiers in modern physics and astronomy. The natureof dark energy determines the fate of the Universe. Recent observations from DESI and DES support dynamical darknergy, whose ...
Hard Probes in the Precision Era of Heavy Ion Physics

Organizers：Urs Achim WiedemannCERN-TH

Date：Sept 22, 2026, Tuesday, 10:30 AM

Place：Lecture Hall 9409

Over the last decades, experiments at RHIC and at the LHC have established a consistent picture of the quark-gluon plasma as a close-to-perfect fluid with minimal dissipative properties, in which collective behavior develops on remarkably short timescales. Signatures of QGP collectivity had ...
BESIII Establishes the Existence of a Glueball — Lightest 0⁻⁺ Glueball as the Dominant Constituent of X(2370)

Organizers：Prof. Shan Jin

Date：Sept. 16, 2026,Wednesday,10:30 am

Place：Room 9409

This talk introduces the concept of glueballs, their significances, and their expected experimental signatures, followed by a brief review of the history and longstanding challenges of glueball searches. The main focus is on the discovery and investigation of X(2370) at BESIII, with particular emphasis ...
